T-Mobile Nexus One is a smartphone by Google using the Android open source mobile operating system. The smartphone was produced by the Taiwan HTC corporation and was released on January 5, 2010. Nexus One is sold unlocked by T-Mobile and AT&T operators in the United States and will be sold by Verizon and Vodafone European operators in the second quarter of 2010.
On the Google site it is possible to order T-Mobile Nexus One phone with the contract signing or without it. At present the plan works only in the USA and later will function in other countries. The first operator working with Nexus One is T-Mobile, there is one plan at present, the Nexus One phone will cost 179 dollars with the new contract (only for new contracts, people already connected to T-Mobile pay a bigger price which limits the phone sales). Nexus One full price is 529 dollars without a plan or a contract and 179 dollars with T-Mobile two-year contract.
Existing unlocked Nexus One model produced by HTC functions with most 3G nets, but existing mobile operators like American At&T and Canadian Roger Wireless use different 3G nets, so the SIM card of these operators holders can only use their Nexus One phones in 2G or EDGE nets, as was mentioned on the official Google blog.
Renewed Nexus One version is identical to the previous one except for the 3G nets support for mobile operators AT&T and Roger Wireless. The smartphone price remained the same, $529. Just like the original, new Nexus One version functions in most GSM nets with operators all over the world. According to PC World, Google Company announced that it is going to release Nexus One versions for Verizon and Vodafone operators alongside with T-Mobile. At present this information was not proven till special unlocked versions appear and the device will be sold with SIM cards just like T-Mobile does for Nexus One.
