Samsung i450 review – the final touches.

Four years ago when mobile phones provided such a sound as Chinese radio for one dollar, no one could even imagine how quickly the technology will develop today.

The smartphone Samsung i450 is made in the form factor of a slider with the dimensions 101,1x51,9x18,3.

In the hand Samsung i450 seems to be smaller than it really is and the reasons is the small size of the back panel – 93,8x44,5 mm. The corners are well rounded and the weight of the smartphone is 98 grams. Samsung i450 is made of different combinations of shiny plastic.

The plastic covers 2,3 inches TFT display reflecting up to 262 thousand colors. This is not extraordinary for the nowadays QVGA matrix but the white color is well reflected.

Regarding the colors and their brightness, both parameters of Samsung i450 are better than 2,4 inches displays in N76 and N81 and are very close to the 2 inches display in the Sony Ericsson mobile phones.

The battery can hold 13 hours of music listening and two days of work with two hours of music listening.

Samsung i450 is built on the basis of Texas Instruments OMAP 2430 having a new DAC for sound decoding.

The volume of the built in memory consists of:

• 49,3 Mb RAM memory
• 25,6 Mb ROM memory

Talking about navigation, it is almost the same as other models but for the letters on the buttons. The standard button C is present and Shift is replaced with the # button.

Samsung i450 energy saving function turns off all multimedia when only 10% of the battery is available.

This function was not installed in other Samsung phones but it is widely used in other brands.

The music library is presented by the classical criteria of music sorting by the singer, composer, albums, genders and the lists played. The lists of often used and newly added tracks are composed automatically.

The new phone is supposed to breathe in a new wave in the Samsung phone line.
