New T-Mobile Phones: Mar 3, 2008 | Tag: Mobile reviews

The T-Mobile is a well known phone company which provides almost a quarter of the world population with mobile services. In order to perform this role, the company cooperates with mobile phone producers like Nokia, Samsung, Motorola and others. Here follows a short description of the new t-mobile phones rivalry.

The new t-mobile phone Nokia N78 replaces older t-mobile phone Nokia N73. This is a kind of "player replacement" and a rather unusual one. It should not be mentioned that the producer wants to get rid of Nokia N73 which is one of the most massively t-mobile phones sold models on the S60 market. This model is going to continue to be sold but Nokia N78 has the same positioning as Nokia N73 at the moment of its placement into the market.

The first issue that needs to be mentioned is the renewed platform version S60 third edition FP2. There are many changes in the functional aspect but what happens if we compare if to the previous t-mobile phone model? We can see an interesting trend: the new model camera does not correspond to the new solutions and remains at the Nokia N73 level. Having acquired FM transmitter, GPS receiver, the model remained at the same level as the t-mobile phone Nokia N73 according to the photo quality.

GPS and net services come to the first place in 2008, the camera quality does not play an important role in the new t-mobile phones and this is why Nokia N82 remains the quality standard among the mediocre phones. This device was supposed to set the quality standard for the photo solutions and it will keep this position till the middle of 2009. Here a question appears: if Nokia N82 has such a long life period, then what is going to happen to Nokia N78 which is the copy of the previous t-mobile cell phone with a less functional camera but the advantages of FP2 and new options?

Hoping that new t-mobile cell phone Nokia N82 in its segment will become a best seller, the Nokia Company produced more copies of this device than the market was ready to receive. The recommended price of 450 euros for the phone is preserved everywhere. This proves that the model has a larger storage than the sale. If someone gets the impression that the phone is not being sold, this impression is wrong. This new t-mobile phone has good sales in its price segment compared to its rivals. But at the same time the Nokia optimism regarding this model was higher which brought to the excessive storage of the t-mobile model.

The new t-mobile phone Nokia N78 price at the moment of its appearance should be about 350 euros. It looks like the difference from Nokia N82 is going to be about 50 euros which is not significant. The cannibalism of the older model towards to newer one will flourish. Is there a solution? The first one is to start new colors of Nokia N82 or be ready to lower the price of Nokia N78.

It looks like the T-mobile phones participate in the long - run quest for the buyers and the market and the newer models are not the always the best ones.

Besides... Google's android is coming out for tmobile in sept or oct.
