Samsung D780 DuoS

The much expected continuation from Samsung turned out to be Fly B700 Duo rival. This is a cheap monoblock which supports the workd of two SIM cards simultaneously. Is it a new hit?

Just like B700 the novelty is performed the form factor of a monoblock and has a neuter design. Some may think that the monoblosk is too simple. The corpus is exclusively plastic. The materials are not very expensive like for the medium class devices. The dimensions and weight if Samsung D780 are a bit bigger than the average and this makes Samsung D780 look more massive. It could be more mobile though.

Just as it was expected, D780 has two radio modules that allows working in both nets simultaneously. Most operations are executed via the menu. The device D780 DuoS also has the SIM card switch button. The negative point is the presence of only one modem which does not allow the voice call from one card to use the mobile phone Samsung D780 DuoS for GPRS or EDGE of the second one.

The rest everything is fine - it is possible to attribute the user's names to the SIM cards according to the wish of the user and they will be noted everywhere so there are a few chances to get confused. On the main display there is a double identification which adds to the positive work process. The hearing quality is good just like in many other mobile phones. At first the restart necessity for the SIM card change seems to be a disadvantage but it is easy to get used to it.

Samsung D780 DuoS is rather simple since the model belongs to the cheaper price class. One of the advantages is QVGA display. But the diagonal is not large – 2,1. The image quality is good. The camera is of 2 mega pixel without the auto focus. There is no flash. The installed memory is not very extended – 36 Mb, but D780 has a microSD slot.

Samsung D780 is worth continuing the DusO phones line with the two SIM card support. The model DuoS is a direct rival of the Fly B700 Duo produced last year. It is more expensive but also has more functions. In comparison, the new device has a QVGA display, FM radio, and also some less noticeable advantages. This is a good offer for those who do not want to economize on the functions but they receive a good combination of price and functions.
