HTC will create a smartphone with one gigahertz processor.

The HTC Company is working on the smartphone based on 1 gigahertz processor Qualcomm Snapdragon as the DigiTimes notifies. It will be presented in the second quarter 2009.

The technical characteristics of future smarphone HTC based on Qualcomm Snapdragon ship are not mentioned. It is only know that this smartphone will appear on sale before the HTC device based on Intel Atom processor.

Processor Qualcomm Snapdragon was produced at the end of 2007. it supports video viewing of high quality with resolution 720p and is optimized for work with graphics. Also it can work with 12 mega pixel camera.

At present more than 10 producers signed the agreement with Qualcomm Snapdragon about using this chip in mobile devices. Among them are such companies as Samsung, Acer, Asus, LG and Toshiba.

Some days ago Toshiba announced its first smartrphone based in Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It is called TGO1 and is equipped with 4,1 inches sensor display. It should appear on sale in the middle of this year.
