The Nokia 6500 Classic telephone is one of the two new models from the Nokia 6500 series. Just like 6500Slide this model of the monoblock factor has elegant appearance, works in four diapasons GSM mobile nets and two UMTS diapasons and uses the last version of the user’s interface Nokia S40.

Design

With the weight of 89 grams and dimensions 110x45x10 mm Nokia 6500 Classic is a rather small and easy in use phone. The elegant and reserved design can be noted for the simple lines and rounded surfaces. The Nokia 6500 Classic display is only 2 inches but the resolution 240x320 pixels creates very clear images. The display reflects 16 million color shades. The display is brighter than at the Nokia 6500 Slide and can be easily read even at the bright light.

The back part of the phone has the camera slot, flash, and loud speaker. The phone charging and PC connection is made with the help of micro USB port placed in the upper part of the phone. The volume is directed by the navigation button.

Nokia 6500n Classic is one of the phones with the help of which you can open the beer bottles and break the car window in case of necessity.

The functions

The tested sample Nokia 6500 Classic had some problems with the net signal receiving. The built in antenna is rather weak this is why there were some problems with the sent calls.

Nevertheless the sound quality is high compared to other phones with the exception of Nokia 6500 Slide. Nokia 6500 Classic showed the talk time in the GSM nets of 4 hours 5 minutes. The interface is not as good as at other smartphones but it works well. 6500 Classic has a good profile system which allows you to choose the most suitable. It is possible to use the vibration regime and the automatic regime change which can be very useful for the business people who forget the change the profile before the meetings. After some time the normal mode is turned on.

Quick search is performed in the phone book redactor. You can call a number by long pressing an associated with it button. It is very easy to use the voice calls which do not depend on the voice.

Nokia 6500 Classic supports sending and receiving e letters an also short SMS and MMS messages. Setting and usage of the IMAP and POP3 mail boxes is not difficult. Data transfer in the GSM nets is performed by the EDGE and GPRS technologies, the high speed 3G UMTS technology is supported.

The smartphone supports wireless technology Bluetooth 2,0 EDR with the A2DP profile allowing to listen to music in wireless head phones.
