Google Latitude - Google will disclose mobile phone coordinates.
The Google company released a program that allows mobile phone and other wireless devices owners to automatically transmit the coordinates to relatives and friends.
The program called Google Latitude gives the possibility to users from 27 countries to inform others about the place they are at the moment or turn off the transmitting device.
You can see the coordinates on the phone display in the Google man program or from any Personal Computer.
Informing the clients about the Google Latitude, the company announced that it clearly understands how sensitive this information can and made all the necessary to give the owners full control over the function.
“You do not only control who knows about the place you are at the moment, but you decide whether they should know about your every movement” – the blog Google informs.
Google is not the first company offering this kind of service like Google Latitude. Verizon Wireless and Vodafone companies already have a similar program Loopt.
The Google Latitude program at the beginning will work with Blackberry phones, devices using system Symbian S60, Windows Mobile and some phones T-1 Mobile with own operational system Google-Android. Later it is planned to connect iPhone, iTouch and many Sony Ericsson devices to the service.
