Charlie Chaplin's mobile

Filmmaker George Clarke found in an old Charlie Chaplin's film "Circus" scene, which shows the time-travel, or something like this.

The short scene shows that mobile phones have appeared much earlier than generally assumed. In the film of 1928 we can see a woman with a mobile phone in her hand. On the video footage can be seen as dressed in the fashion of the time the lady holding ner the ear device and something lively conversation. Is this mobile phone in her hand?
