We all know that almost nothing can be done without the mobile connection. And it is important to know not only the cell phone producers but also the connection providers, AT&T being one of them. So before discussing the AT&T cell phones it would be wise to take a look into the history of the company.
The American telephone and Telegraph (AT&T) was created in 1885. For a long time it has been the only monopolist for the local and far connection in the USA. In 1983-1984 under the pressure of the USA Justice Ministry as an antitrust process it gave up the local connections and concentrated its efforts on the far connections.
The main mobile connection provider rival is the Verizon Company. So in order to keep up the user’s rate, the AT&T Company offered a new service.
In the partnership with the MediaFLO AT&T proposes its udders to watch TV on the cell phones. But right now only two AT&T cell phones can offer this service to the customers. They are LG Vu and the Samsung Access. These two AT&T cell phones are optimized for the TV viewing by the Mobile TV announcement. The first AT&T cell phone, LG 3G Vu has a 240x400 pixel display, MP3 player, Bluetooth controller, two mega pixel camera. The weight of this AT&T cell phone is 3,16 ounces and the talk time is approximately equal to the TV watching length.
The second AT&T cell phone, Samsung Access 3G possesses an MP3 player, stereo Bluetooth, external speakers, 1,3 mega pixel camera. This AT&T cell phone weights about 3,5 ounces.
The prices of the first two AT&T cell phones are not too high compared to the services they offer. LG Vu will cost $299,99 and Samsung Access will have the price of $199,99.
At the moment the service as well as the AT&T cell phones are not available to everyone. But the company promises to enlarge the area of the cities that will use this service.
To make the service and the AT&T cell phones more desirable the company will provide two months preview of some channels including the concerts of the most popular singers.
