Ericsson presented the concept of the mobile phone of the future
The Swedish Telecommunications Company Ericsson representatives at the meeting with the journalists which was help some time ago, told about their vision of the mobile phone of the future and the main tendencies of mobile phones of the new generation development.

According to Ericsson in 2012 mobile phone will have even more functions compared to modern models and will be equipped with a display with resolution XGA (1024x768 pixels), central processor with 1 GH and built in photo camera with resolution from 12 to 20 meg pixel and video recording (HD).
In the segment of mobile communication Ericsson expects further development of a standard broadband packet HSPA data in the form of technology HSPA evolution, as well as the introduction of the new standard - LTE (long term evolution), which should increase the transmission speed of wireless channels to 100 Mbps and above . On their part, Ericsson mobile phone experts will work on these two standards, as well as develop new embedded modules, base stations and other equipment for cellular operators and handset manufacturers.
Ericsson representatives noted that mobile nets development has a gradual pace. Currently, the HSPA standard has a maximum data transfer rate to the user of 7.2 Mbps, and al over the world there are already deployed 59 commercial HSPA-networks, 38of which are based on the Swedish company equipment . Also 805 HSPA-compatible mobile devices from 129 manufacturers are
available on the market. The next HSPA version is expected to appear at the end of this year or later. HSPA evolution will differ by a maximum data transfer rate of 21 Mbps.
With regard to the LTE standard, it will be implemented in a large number of countries, mainly in Japan, while HSPA and HSPA evolution will gradually replace the old standards in other regions.
