SAP will turn the mobile pone into the pay-check
The SAP company specialists are in the process of testing new technology for the mobile phones which, as it is expected, will considerably ease the weekly process of purchasing.
The technology named "The Buyer’s helper" is using the mobile phone functional. The user just introduces the list of the necessary goods in the phone memory and in the store a special attachment analyzing the list proposes to the buyer the shortest way to the needed shelf with the required good. Further the direction map of the list is saved and the phone owner, besides all the above mentioned, receives the total cost of the purchase.
If the list does not mention the exact good but the general category, the system shows all the goods and their price. Besides with the help of photo camera it is expected to note the list of the chosen good and to determine the purchase price.
The technology is being tested in German supermarkets where the system of goods radio identification is introduced. But because of the high cost of such systems the SAP technology introduction will not take place at once.
