Nokia E90i – a new member in the Communicator line

According to the rumors, the Nokia Company is preparing a new Nokia E90i Communicator for the release which will replace on the market E90 model.

The novelty will be performed in the usual for the users E90 form factor of the horizontal flip phone with two displays and two keypads. Nokia E90i can be noted for a more compact and thin corpus than the previous phone.

The main technical features of the device will be the same as E90 with the exception of the 5 mega pixel camera and built in 8 Gb memory.

It is estimated that the device official announcement will be held in autumn and the phone Nokia E90i will appear on sale not earlier than December.

Nokia seems to be losing interest in this niche market.
I still have my E90 running flawlessly after a while, it never falls apart, though the battery life is appalling.
I'm waiting for this, though I do think Nokia will make a Maemo-based device for the next communicator. :(

This would be such a pity, although Nokia made a few more mistakes in the evolution of the Communicator concept before. E.g. the half business half consumer approach ... I am convinced that Nokia loses considerable marketshare because of their developers that lack Vision.

Imho dropping the classic communicator concept would be a mistake again; what should have happened is consult the original design and original assets and build a state of teh art Communicator accordingly.

I'll stop moaning: I can honestly not imagine Nokia will indeed drop it.

Nokia stopped The E90i project. This conception never will come to markets. The reason: New N97 will be avaiable. That will be replace the E90 line.
