16 most expected devices of the 2012

We are getting closer to the end of the year, thus closer to the Consumer Electronics Show that will take place in January as well. The CNet made a top of the most expected products for the year ahead of us.

Many companies prefer to keep secret data about their new devices, so it is almost impossible to predict the appearance of many popular devices, therefore the list is not a complete one. A more clear image we might get after the CES 2012.

Nintendo Wii U

Nintendo is again trying to make a revolution on the video games market. The next year is about to appear it's new console of the next generation, that will stand out by a large sensory display that gives the opportunity to enjoy the game even if the TV Set is turned off.

 

If speaking about technical features of the Wii U, it will support games with the 1080 pixels resolution, it will also has to offer the compatibility with other Wii accessories and games. The game compatibility will become an attractive detail, for the Nintendo is staking on enthusiast gamers.

 Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich based devices

The first Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) based smart phone is already on sale on the market. The next year we are to welcome many more devices based on the given platform. We shall not forget about the tablets that will enforce the pressure on the iPad.

iPad Mini

there is a persisting question regarding the fact if the   Apple will or will not present an iPad with a size of less that 10 inches. There are disputes in this regard, the supporters of the idea argue that Apple might win more space on the market because of the lower price.

 More attractive and affordable ultrabooks

Gradually the industry is leaving behind the notebooks, that turned out to be not the most viable devices from the standpoint of a longstanding perspective. Intel and other PC manufacturers are connecting the notebook development with the ultrabooks. So far the prices are not too attractive, but the Ivy Bridge and other innovations that are expected for the next year are forecasting a price decrease.  

MacBook Air of the next generation

According to rumors the Apple will review the MacBook Pro and Mac Book Air design the next year, and will also upgrade their technical features. It is most likely that there will be an 15 inches Mac Book Air, it looks like the Air will be improved.

 

More affordable Apple products with the AirPlay support

Apple AirPlay - a stream technology of wireless audio and video data exchange on Apple devices by means of Wi-Fi. Apple TV m AirPort Express and other AirPlay compatible products are pretty expensive (mostly because of the speakers). Probably in 2012 this situation will change.

Kindle Fire 2 (10 inches Amazon tablet)

Due to it's low price, a relatively good package of technical features and Amazon services the Kindle Fire tablet is pretty popular. The Kindle Fire 2 shall increase the achieved success and bring more functions. It is also expected that the 10 inches Amazon tablet to be released, which will directly target the iPad market.

 iPhone 5

The iPhone 5 release was expected in 2011, but it's release was postponed till summer 2012. It looks like the device will be equipped with a larger display, a new processor and the 4G networks support.

 Apple iTV

According to rumors the company is working on it's own TV Set that will be radically different from what we have on the market. May be the company will succeed in making another revolution in 2012? Wouldn't be bad.

 iPad 3

in February or march of the next year shall be released the 3'rd generation device that made so much noise. According to rumors the Apple will equip the iPad3 with a high resolution display a quad core A6 processor.

 PlayStation Vita

The portable Sony console shall appear on the market. It will have to offer 2 analogous sticks, a sensory display, a sensory back panel and the graphic of the PS3 level. They say that the device will have a complicated life on the market still the device may be a good bargain for the Sony. 

A wider spread of LTE (4G)

In 2012 there are going to be a lot more smart phones with the 4G networks support. And the 4G coverage itself shall become wider and will penetrate into more countries.

Nook Tablet 2

Barnes & Noble continues to release cheap tablets that are very popular, not as Kindle Fire but still. We are to hope that in 2012 there will appear a new model with the Bluetooth support.

 Nikon D800

An expected successor of the professional Nikon D700 camera was expected for 2011, but it did not happen. The release of the D800 camera with the 36Mp matrix is expected in 2012.

 Canon 5D Mark III

Just like Nikon D800, the Canon EOS 5D Mark III was expected for the 2011. The delay is explained by the earthquake ant the tsunami in Japan and the floods in Thailand. It is assumed that the new camera will cost about 2500$.

Windows 8

The unificatioin - the main theme of the Windows 8. The Microsoft is bringing on it's table OS the sensory Metro interface that has the Windows Phone and Xbox 360 style. By the given decision the company aims the tablets market. The ARM support on Windows 8 is pretty intriguing. The Beta Version is forecasted for February 2012, while the release of the first devices probably not before the end of fall.
